I do believe that I deserve second chances. You do way too. So why wouldn't Dork? (that's the ex-con's name)

I am always ready to cut a guy (or girl) some slack. Including Dave. Positive, he's made some slipups. But he wants a second chance. He NEEDS a second chance. And I was wanting to give it to him.

Louis Alston, initiator, publisher and editor with the Carolina Times hired everyone, and I wrote for him for a couple of months before moving to Greensboro to jot down for another black weekly newspaper, and by the Spring of 1970, I was back require Durham, and writing to get a black weekly in Raleigh.
